July 24, 2007: Today marks the effective date for the Federal Minimum Wage increase to $5.85 per hour. Not only are U.S. employers required to pay eligible employees an additional 70 cents per hour, all businesses with at least one employee must display the new regulation – regardless of whether staff are hourly, salaried, or compensated at above $5.85 per hour.
